Application Developer - Equity / Java or C# or C++ / 45k to 60k
I am currently helping our client seeking a Developer to join the team in HK.
Duties:
- Design and develop robust in-house applications, while planning and executing unit, functional, and integration testing based on defined business requirements.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive development documentation, including system design specifications, test plans, and test results.
- Perform end-to-end system analysis, development, testing, and implementation for new features as well as system enhancements.
- Provide second-line technical support in collaboration with first-line support teams, and work closely with internal IT teams (such as Database Administration and Infrastructure) to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed system solutions, and present clear, well-reasoned recommendations to the business.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with C# or Java, Linux, shell scripting, Excel VBA, and SQL.
- Minimum of three years' relevant experience in the investment banking or securities trading industry, preferably with direct exposure to the development and support of middle-office or back-office systems for equity trading.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
