Head of Credit to lead its end-to-end credit function, covering both pre-approval and post-approval responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities - Oversee the entire credit lifecycle, including credit assessment, approval, documentation review, monitoring, and post-disbursement management
- Serve as a key credit decision-maker in line with internal authority and governance frameworks
- Provide independent, prudent credit opinions on corporate and institutional banking transactions
- Manage post-approval credit functions including portfolio monitoring, covenant tracking, early warning signals, credit reviews, and problem loan management
- Ensure credit policies and practices remain aligned with head office standards and regulatory requirements
- Partner closely with business, risk, and operations teams to support disciplined business growth
- Lead, mentor, and develop the credit team, fostering a strong risk culture and consistency in credit judgment
- Engage with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders as required
Requirements - 15+ years of experience in credit risk within corporate and/or institutional banking
- Strong hands-on experience covering both pre-approval and post-approval credit functions
- Prior experience in a Chinese bank (PRC or overseas branch) is highly preferred
- Solid knowledge of corporate lending structures, credit analysis, and risk mitigation techniques
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations applicable to Chinese banking institutions
- Mature judgment, strong analytical capability, and confidence in senior-level decision-making
- Proven people leadership experience
- Proficiency in English; Mandarin is strongly preferred
