Key Areas of Responsibilities

On-the-ground Coordination

  1. Act as the primary Hong Kong-based liaison between the local TechOps team, clients, internal staff, and global Asset Management development teams.
  2. Coordinate operational activities, ensuring alignment of technology deliverables with business priorities in the mentioned domain(s)

Operational Standards & Culture

  1. Ensure all Asset Management IT teams maintain TechOps standards and procedures.
  2. Foster a DevOps mindset and culture across Asset Management technology functions for greater automation, collaboration, and operational efficiency.

Container Runtime & Development Pipeline Automation

  1. Work with developers to properly onboard applications into the production environment — including asset management investment and operation systems.
  2. Coordinate deployment processes for containerized environments within Asset Management IT (manage container image repositories, version control, and CI/CD pipelines).
  3. Influence and coach developers to improve logging, application performance metrics, and error diagnostics to strengthen operational reliability in client-facing systems and investment platforms

Asset Management Technology Focus

  1. Support front-office portfolio management tools, risk analytics systems, and compliance/reporting platforms used in asset management.
  2. Ensure timely availability and stability of systems supporting investment decision-making and client reporting.
  3. Manage technology asset lifecycles for investment and operation systems, ensuring compliance with internal controls and industry regulations.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor/Master degree, preferrably in IT/Computer Engineering
  2. 5-8 years of experience in application support role
  3. Database skills: MySQL, Oracle.
  4. Strong Unix scripting for automation and operational support.
  5. Experience with containerized environments (Docker)
  6. OS knowledge: Windows 10/7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  7. Familiarity with Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana stack (good to have).
  8. Conceptual knowledge of deploying applications to cloud environments (PaaS ) will be a plus
  9. Knowledge of RabbitMQ messaging systems is of advantage
  10. Experience with Kubernetes orchestration platforms will be a plus
  11. Good command of written and spoken English,Mandarin is a must
