IT Transformation Consultant / Project Manager – APAC (Bank)

We are supporting our client, a leading global bank, with a major new strategic technology transformation program in Asia Pacific. This high-visibility initiative has been validated by Global and Regional CIB ITO senior management and focuses on modernizing the banks information systems and technology landscape across the region.

Objective To ensure the timely, high-quality, and sustainable implementation of the APAC Information Systems strategic transformation program.

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced IT Transformation Consultant / Project Manager to join the program team in Hong Kong. You will play a key role in monitoring and driving the successful execution of this complex, multi-stream technology transformation program with a strong focus on legacy system migration to target platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor and track the overall implementation of the transformation initiatives across multiple streams
2. Prepare and deliver high-quality project artefacts throughout the project lifecycle (Kick-Off, SteerCo packs, Go-Live documentation, etc.)
3. Provide clear and concise project status reporting to senior stakeholders through various governance forums
4. Ensure comprehensive documentation and effective communication to all relevant stakeholders (local, regional, and global)
5. Proactively identify and propose improvement initiatives or ideas to enhance overall program management and delivery

Required Skillset & Expertise

1. Solid knowledge of Global Markets businesses and processes (knowledge of Global Banking / CIB would be a strong advantage)
2. Proven experience managing complex, multi-stream projects with a strong IT / technology transformation component, particularly legacy system migration to target platforms
3. Excellent presentation and reporting skills – able to communicate complex topics clearly to senior management and executives
4. Strong ability to navigate and influence within regional, global, and local bank organizations
5. Minimum 6–9 years of relevant experience in Senior Consultant or PM grade
