Our client is looking for a high-calibre Investment Analyst to join a Private Equity Strategy team in Hong Kong. This is a dynamic, hybrid role that sits at the intersection of deal execution and active portfolio enhancement, with a strategic focus on North Asia markets, particularly Japan.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Value Creation: Partner directly with portfolio company management to drive operational improvements, revenue growth, and strategic transformation projects.
  • Strategic Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive thematic research and competitor analysis to identify structural growth drivers across North Asia.
  • End-to-End Deal Support: Assist in deal sourcing and evaluation, including the preparation of investment memoranda and Investment Committee materials.
  • Advanced Financial Analysis: Build and review complex financial models, including DCF and comparable company analyses (trading and transaction comps).
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Manage workstreams between internal investment teams, external consultants, and local partners to ensure seamless transaction execution.
Requirements:
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience within Management Consulting, a Big 4 firm (Deal Advisory, Transaction Services, Valuation, or M&A)
  • Exceptional financial modelling and valuation skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Prior experience covering Japan or North Asia markets is highly desirable.
  • Japanese language proficiency (reading and speaking) is strongly preferred to facilitate communication with regional stakeholders.
  • Ability to synthesise complex data into clear, executive-ready presentations and reports.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, lean team environment.
