Index Strategist

Our Client is a leading Chinese asset manager in Hong Kong with impressive performance history in both active and passive investments in a variety of asset classes, covering equities, fixed income, ETF, digital assets as well as mandates and investment advisory services

Responsibilities

1. Lead construction of diverse range of indices including equity, fixed income, thematic and style indices from both original concepts and client driven requests
2. Drive index innovation with index providers to contribute to the overall ETF and quantitative strategy of the firm
3. Partner with the Product Development team on the development of passive investment products and the delivery of product roadmaps
4. Prepare index analyses and presentations including index backtests and comparative index and product performance analyses
5. Possess thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and the trends in the business
6. Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product development, investment, and sales—to ensure a viable go-to-market strategy

Skills and qualifications

1. Degree in an analytical, quantitative discipline.
2. Strong knowledge in ETF market and index innovations.
3. Deep knowledge of quantitative investment portfolio techniques, including portfolio simulation and construction approaches and risk and performance attribution
4. Track record of developing products from idea conception to index creation.
5. Highly motivated with evidence of intellectual curiosity and creativity.
6. Excellent presentation and writing skills.
7. Fluency in English and Chinese.

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
