Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Fund Operation: Ensure the daily operation workflows of funds are implemented and executed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Data Management and Reporting: Ensure data accuracy and all reporting requirements being fulfilled accurately and punctually.
- Facilitating New Product Development: cooperate with internal parties (i.e. L&C, Investment, Product, Risk, Finance and other outsourced affiliate entities) and liaise with external partners (e.g. trustees, fund administrators, custodians and other service providers) to establish operation workflows to ensure the smooth launching of new products.
- Operation Procedure Maintenance: Compile, review and update operation policies and procedures to ensure the comprehensiveness and the compliance with regulatory requirements and Group policies.
- System Development: Contribute in system design and enhancement to automate or improve existing workflow.
- Vendor Management: Monitor the quality of service delivered by the services providers and internal affiliate entities outsourced.
- Ensure all operation issues are solved in timely manner and well recorded.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned.
Education and Professional Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in business administration, finance, accounting or related disciplines.
- Qualified CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Experience and Skill Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of operations experience in Fund House. (Candidate with more experience would also be considered as vice president or Director.)
- Experience in daily authorized funds operation is a must.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in full cycle of fund operation, e.g., trade settlement, cash management, fund accounting, reconciliation and data management & reporting.
- Attention to details, able to maintain a high level of accuracy while being vigilant to abnormalities.
- Independent, well-organized and self-motivated, able to work under fast paced and result driven environment.
- Good time management skills, able to prioritize and multitask.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient Excel skills.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge on Business Process Reengineer (BPR) is preferred;
- Project experience, especially on system enhancement and development involving cross-functional collaboration is an advantage.
- Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
