Job Responsibilities - Support the formulation and implementation of Hong Kong market-level strategy.
- Conduct thematic reviews to formulate future strategy and drive impactful outcomes for the bank.
- Assist in preparing management strategy briefs and reports for various committees and regulators.
- Conduct analyses on key market and strategic trends to support budgeting, key initiatives, business cases, and scenario planning.
- Collaborate with business units and support units to develop actionable insights and deliver cross-unit projects.
- Research and contribute to forward-looking assessments of emerging technologies and mega-trends that could impact DBS Hong Kong's competitiveness and market positioning, covering areas like blockchain/crypto/Web3 technologies, fintech, AI/ML, GenAI/ Agentic AI, cross-border payments, etc. Leverage GenAI and Agentic AI to amplify the depth and breadth of our strategic research.
- Work closely with Group stakeholders to align Hong Kong's strategic plans with Group-level objectives and facilitate the local implementation of Group-led strategic initiatives in the market, ensuring seamless integration and execution.
- Drive the strategic planning process of Transformation and Data Hong Kong by contributing to budget planning and expense management, developing and tracking performance scorecards, and assisting in business management initiatives to ensure alignment with overall strategic objectives.
- Act as the COO function of Transformation and Data Hong Kong to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and the effective management of operational risk within the unit.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required; a Master's degree or relevant professional qualification is preferred.
- 8-10 years in banking, financial services / management consulting or related industries, preferably in Strategic planning and Business development roles
- Demonstrated success in strategy and business development, track record of delivering impactful business programs
- Good project management skills and drive for execution excellence
- A strategic and analytical thinker with maturity to engage with senior stakeholders
- Experience with the range of business development activities including identifying opportunities and developing business cases, defining product or service requirements.
- Ability in engaging internal stakeholders/partners across regions and functions
- Highly adaptable, self-starter, ability to deal with ambiguity, thrives in fast-moving and high-growth environments
- Good command of both written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
