• Lead end-to-end delivery of the Group Sustainability Report and climate disclosures in line with ISSB S1 and S2, with a strong emphasis on quantifying and explaining financial effects and linkages to the financial statements
• Translate climate and sustainability risks and opportunities into financial impacts, including effects on revenue (e.g., transaction volumes), cost structures (e.g., funding, compliance, carbon costs), asset valuations, provisions, and capital allocation
• Embed sustainability considerations into financial planning, forecasting, and stress testing processes, ensuring alignment between climate scenario outputs and financial projections
• Evaluate how sustainability reporting can be embedded into core finance and data systems, leveraging fintech data infrastructure to enable scalable, automated, and auditable disclosures
• Ensure connectivity between sustainability disclosures and financial statements, including consistency of assumptions, estimates, and judgments (e.g., impairment, provisions, fair value considerations)
• Oversee climate-related disclosures across governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets, including GHG Protocol-aligned emissions (with a focus on Scope 3 financed emissions and application of PCAF methodology across asset class)
• Lead climate scenario analysis using NGFS scenarios, assessing impacts on business models such as payments volumes, credit risk, funding costs, and customer behaviour
• Partner with Sustainability, Risk and Finance teams to Manage external audit and assurance processes, ensuring sustainability disclosures meet increasing expectations from regulators, investors, and partners
• Monitor regulators and standard-setter (ISSB) activities including financial services-specific guidance, and emerging expectations on biodiversity, human rights, and responsible digital finance requirements and best practices
• Drive alignment across frameworks - GRI/UNSDG/ISSB (from a financial risk perspective where relevant) to ensure consistent, decision-useful disclosures
• Foster strong collaboration across sustainability, finance, risk, business units and other relevant functions
• Strengthen governance, controls, and data quality across the data environments
Job Requirement
• 8-10 years' experience with HKEx ESG Code and/or ISSB requirements
• Proven experience leading sustainability, climate, or financial reporting within fintech, financial services, or a highly data-driven organisation
• Deep knowledge of ISSB standards (IFRS S1 and S2), with hands-on implementation experience
• Strong understanding of GHG Protocol, including practical challenges in measuring Scope 3 emissions and (where relevant) financed emissions under PCAF Standards
• Experience performing or overseeing climate scenario analysis (e.g., NGFS), ideally with application to financial risk, credit, or payments ecosystems
• Familiarity with SASB metrics, particularly for financials, payments, or technology sectors
• Awareness of emerging topics such as biodiversity, human rights, and ethical considerations in digital finance and data usage
• Strong background in governance, internal controls, and policy development, ideally with a foundation in the financial reporting and/or Big 4 audit firm
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical sustainability topics into commercial and strategic insights
