We are seeking a talented Infrastructure System Engineer to optimise infrastructure, networks, and virtualization platforms, while playing a key role in a data center relocation project for one of our most sizeable in-house clients.
Your new role
- Lead and support end-to-end data center relocation activities, including planning, migration, cut-over, and post-migration stabilization
- Manage and optimize Linux-based systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu), virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs)
- Ensure system performance, availability, and security through monitoring, patching, and capacity planning
- Execute migration and upgrade activities with minimal downtime, including testing and rollback planning
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage timelines, risks, and dependencies
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as runbooks, system diagrams, and SOPs
- Provide support during maintenance windows and critical migration phases, including non-office hours when required
What you'll need to succeed
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering (servers and networks)
- Proven experience in data center relocation, infrastructure migration, or large-scale system upgrades
- Experienced in all-round infrastructure support for enterprise systems, including hands-on management of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Solid networking knowledge with hands-on experience in enterprise-grade equipment (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet)
- Good understanding of data center design, including rack layout, power, cooling, and cabling
- Experience in project coordination, vendor management, and stakeholder communication
