I'm working with a European Bank in Hong Kong looking for M&A Vice President or Director to support and lead APAC cross‑border M&A advisory mandates. This role is suited for a senior deal professional who combines strong execution capability with client-facing confidence across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will play a central role in originating and executing complex cross‑border transactions involving strategic corporates, financial sponsors, and family-owned businesses across Asia-Pacific, with global counter-parties in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to structure transactions, manage deal processes end-to-end, and provide strategic advice across sell-side, buy-side, mergers, and joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution of cross‑border M&A transactions across APAC
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, counterparts, and internal stakeholders
  • Drive financial modelling, valuation analysis, transaction structuring, and due diligence
  • Prepare and review marketing materials, investment memorandum, and board-level presentations
  • Support senior leadership in client origination and relationship management
  • Mentor and manage junior team members across multiple geographies

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of M&A advisory experience within an investment bank or boutique advisory firm
  • Proven track record in APAC cross‑border transactions
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and deal structuring expertise
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate in multi-cultural environments
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant professional qualification preferred
  • Fluency in English required; additional Asian language skills highly advantageous
