About Our Client Our client is one of the largest American Investment banks, headquartered in New York City. They are now looking for a Settlement Analyst to join their security settlement team to perform settlement and reconciliation for equity and fixed income products for HK markets. The team supports all business units for their transaction settlement in equity and fixed income products for Hong Kong market and related Connect Scheme including China Stock Connect and Bond connect market.
Job Description - Responsible for settlements investigation and resolving settlement exceptions for equity and fixed income products for Hong Kong market, China A stock Connect, CMU and Bond Connect market
- Perform reconciliation to ensure firm books and records match with external banks and central depository's record
- Work closely with counterparty (broker and custodian) to resolve settlement issue
- Handle physical certificate deposit or withdrawal request
- Process ADR conversion, cross board conversions, follow up on IPO syndicate deals, EIPO subscription, corresponding settlement and work on process improvement
The Successful Applicant - Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance or business management related discipline
- 2-3 years of working experience in settlement/ reconciliation for HK market with strong product knowledge in equity/ fixed income within banking industry
- Strong product knowledge in equity/ fixed income and other related connect scheme e.g. China A stock Connect, CMU and Bond Connect market
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly fluent in English and Chinese
