Our client, a leading global financial services institution, is seeking a Chief Architect – Artificial Intelligence (AI) to define and lead the enterprise AI and data architecture strategy within a capital markets environment.
This is a newly created leadership role focused on driving the cloud-native re-architecture of internally developed platforms , while integrating SaaS and third-party solutions into a cohesive, scalable architecture aligned to front-to-back business needs.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Define and own the enterprise AI and data architecture, aligned to business, trading, and risk priorities
- Lead the modernisation of legacy platforms into cloud-native architectures, with a focus on scalability, resilience, and performance
- Architect and evolve AI/ML platforms, including data pipelines, model lifecycle, and deployment frameworks
- Ensure alignment to low-latency and high-performance requirements across capital markets use cases
- Integrate SaaS and external data/analytics platforms into the broader enterprise architecture
- Establish architectural standards across cloud, data, and AI domains, including governance and best practices
- Partner with senior technology and business stakeholders to align architecture with product and revenue objectives
To qualify for this role, you will require:
- 18+ years experience in architecture and engineering leadership roles within complex environments
- Strong background in distributed systems, data platforms, and cloud-native architecture
- Proven experience leading large-scale platform modernisation and cloud transformation
- Deep understanding of AI/ML architectures and data ecosystems
- Strong experience within capital markets (essential), including front-to-back platforms
- Track record of operating in global, matrixed organisations
- Ability to engage and influence at senior executive level
