Our client is a leading FI, and they are seeking for a Junior Finance PMO candidate to join the team.
Role Purpose
The Finance PMO is responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the IT portfolio. You will oversee project budgets, track PnL performance, and ensure that all IT spending aligns with accounting standards and corporate financial goals. You will translate complex IT project milestones into clear financial data for senior stakeholders.
The Role
- Financial Planning & PnL Management
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual IT budget planning process and perform monthly/quarterly forecasting to reflect project shifts.
PnL Tracking: Monitor the IT department's Profit and Loss (PnL), identifying variances between actual spend and forecasted budgets.
Cost Allocation: Manage the "chargeback" process, ensuring IT costs are accurately allocated to the relevant business units or products.
Capital vs. Operational Expenditure: Categorize spend correctly between CAPEX (long-term assets) and OPEX (day-to-day costs) to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Accounting & Reporting
Month-End Closing: Partner with the Central Finance team to manage month-end accruals, prepayments, and depreciation schedules for IT assets.
Financial Dashboards: Develop and maintain real-time financial reports and KPIs (e.g., Burn rate, ROI, Variance analysis) for the Head of IT and Project Leads.
Audit & Compliance: Ensure all IT financial activities adhere to internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
- Project Governance & Support
Business Case Validation: Review financial projections in new project proposals to ensure realistic ROI and Cost-Benefit analyses.
Vendor & Procurement Liaison: Work with procurement to track vendor contracts, milestones, and payment sched
Your Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, ideally within a technical or banking environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, Power Pivot, or complex modeling).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Workday).
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Clarity, or MS Project).
- Soft Skills: Strong ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders (developers, engineers, and IT leads).
