QA Engineer - Global Investment Bank - Hong Kong

As a Post-Trade QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of post-trade platforms and services used across trade lifecycle processing. You will develop and execute test strategies, automate regression testing, and partner with engineering and operations teams to resolve defects quickly—supporting stable, compliant end-to-end processing.

The role:

1. Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests for post-trade workflows.
2. Build and maintain automated test suites (API/UI where applicable).
3. Validate trade lifecycle behaviors across messaging/events, processing, and reconciliation flows.
4. Identify, triage, and track defects through resolution with clear root-cause information.
5. Create and maintain test data, environments, and test frameworks.
6. Partner with developers to improve testability, observability, and release confidence.
7. Support UAT and release testing for production deployments.

What you offer:

1. Strong QA/test engineering background with proven experience in automation.
2. Experience testing distributed systems and/or event-driven workflows (APIs, messaging, batch/stream processing).
3. Experience with Gloss OR Swift Messaging systems
4. Knowledge of post-trade concepts (e.g., settlement, confirmation, reconciliation, corporate actions)or strong transferable experience in financial transaction processing.
5. Proficiency in at least one programming language for testing/automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
6. Familiarity with CI/CD and test tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Git-based workflows).
7. Good understanding of SQL for validation and investigation.
