Business Function Group Audit helps the Board and Executive Management meet the strategic and operational objectives of the DBS Group. We conduct independent checks to ensure that the Group's risk and control processes are adequate and effective. Responsibilities Primary responsibilities will be around building machine learning & AI use cases, data transformation pipelines, and visualizations to enable transformation of data into insights and actions. You will be exposed to full range of business processes within the Bank and have opportunities to design analytics from a holistic bank-wide view. You will be a key part of the team as well as part of the Bank's Data Chapter in bringing data science and analytic projects alive to support business decision-making and risk sensing analysis.
- Partner with audit specialists across banking functions / locations to assess business needs and identify opportunities to apply data analytics for developing tools / programs for audit purposes.
- Explore existing data sources and conduct exploratory data analysis. Identify dataset which are relevant to the problems to solve. Create features to make them valuable for analytics.
- Collaborate with other data scientists and tech team to develop data science and AI solutions, ranging from on-demand queries to machine learning models, for early risk identification and expanding risk sensing coverage.
- Maintenance of the platform / data refresh for existing data analytics tools in use by our partners to ensure smooth data flow and process including monitoring data quality and lineage and timely escalate system issues identified.
- Develop visualization tools and other reporting dashboards to humanize the experience for reporting to Audit Committee / Senior Management.
- Conduct presentation to our partners and management on the development of the tool as well as to provide training, demo and support to users if needed.
Requirements - Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines
- Minimum 6 years of experience in data analytics (with 4+ years of experience in data science as a plus)
- Solid experience in building and maintaining data transformation pipelines and visualization dashboards for analytics. Strong SQL and Python programming skills on handling large volume of data
- Experience in big data technologies/tools such as Data Lake and Spark is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms is a plus. Understanding of model development concepts and AI including GenAI is a plus
- Experience in banking data is a plus but not a must
- Ability to navigate in a complex environment to drive outcome with stakeholders
- Ability to clearly articulating data deliverables in a manner easily understood in oral and written format
- Passionate in new technologies and eager to learn attitude
- Detail-oriented and committed to meeting tight deadlines
- Independent self-starter with ability to multitask
