Your new company A securities firm is currently looking for a client onboarding manager to join their operations and client services team, to be responsible for managing the end-to-end client onboarding process and leading the account opening team to ensure full compliance with SFC regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies, continuously optimising onboarding processes and enhancing the overall client experience.
Your new role
Lead and manage the client onboarding / account opening team, including workforce planning, task allocation, staff training, and performance management to ensure business objectives are met.
Oversee KYC / CDD due diligence and AML controls, including PEP screening, sanctions checks, and customer risk assessments, ensuring full compliance with SFC regulations and internal policies.
Optimise online and offline onboarding workflows, establish review and quality assurance standards, reduce operational risk, improve turnaround time, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Compliance, and IT teams to resolve complex onboarding cases, manage customer complaints, and support SFC inspections and regulatory enquiries.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree or above; Finance, Accounting, or Law related disciplines preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in client onboarding / KYC/ CDD within a Hong Kong securities firm, with at least 2 years of team management experience.
SFC Type 1 Licence is highly preferred.
Strong leadership capability with high compliance awareness, able to work under pressure, resolve complex issues, and effectively balance business growth and regulatory requirements.
