Lead Consultant - Insurance Core Modernization & Distribution Our client is a leading consulting firm which guides organizations through the end-to-end modernization of core platforms. They empower businesses by redesigning legacy processes into high-performance digital ecosystems, specifically targeting the intersection of insurance distribution and financial integrity.
Responsibilities: - Strategic Advisory: Act as the lead architect for large-scale technology initiatives, focusing on Core System Modernization and the digital evolution of Distribution and Incentive Compensation (ICM) ecosystems.
- Complex Delivery Leadership: Head high-impact engagements involving custom application design, business process re-engineering, and the seamless integration of specialized ICM solutions.
- Solution Architecture: Design and implement robust engines for multi-tier agent hierarchies, overrides, and complex clawback logic, ensuring they scale within the broader insurance architecture.
- Execution Excellence: Take full accountability for customer success by delivering high-accuracy financial data reconciliation and ensuring the integrity of distribution data within core platforms.
- Business Growth: Serve as a "Rainmaker" by identifying new revenue streams in the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) space and leading strategic pitches to C-suite executives.
- Mentorship: Build a high-performing culture by developing technical excellence and functional expertise within your delivery teams.
Requirements: - Experience: 8+ years in technology consulting or IT project management, with a minimum of 4 years as an Architect focused on Insurance Core Systems (e.g., Guidewire, SAP, Duck Creek).
- Domain Mastery: Deep expertise in Distribution Compensation Logic, including producer management, commission hierarchies, and integration with Finance/General Ledger (GL) modules.
- Tech Stack: Proficient in cloud architectures (Alibaba, Huawei, or Tencent Cloud) and experienced in integrating Core Policy engines with digital partner ecosystems.
- Data Integrity: Proven track record in managing complex data migrations (ETL) and financial reconciliations, specifically for commission and payment histories during system cutovers.
- Mission-Critical Delivery: Demonstrated experience managing high-stakes system cutovers and "rehearsal" arrangements for enterprise-level insurance applications.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Mastery of the HK financial landscape, including HKIA (GN16) compliance and IFRS 17 acquisition cost requirements.
- Education & Language: Bachelor's degree in CS or IT (MBA/MS preferred). Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is highly advantageous.
