Key responsibilities:
As an Assistant Communications Manager, you will support COO communications, staff engagement, and talent programmes while enhancing collaboration and organisational culture.
Communications
- Support development and execution of communications and marketing strategies positioning the COO Office as a centre of excellence internally and externally
- Assist in planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns across digital platforms (intranet, email, social channels) to enhance brand visibility and reputation
- Create and edit high-quality content including leadership messages, speeches, presentations, newsletters, and thought leadership tailored to diverse audiences
- Monitor and report communication effectiveness using engagement metrics and feedback, and propose improvements based on insights
- Provide communications support for key COO initiatives, including change and business updates in collaboration with stakeholders
Staff Engagement (including Management Trainee Programme Administration)
- Plan and execute staff engagement initiatives such as townhalls, offsites, learning sessions, and culture-building activities to foster an inclusive workplace
- Coordinate Management Trainee development activities including onboarding, rotations, mentoring touchpoints, and learning events to support leadership pipeline development
- Collect stakeholder feedback, prepare programme updates, and drive continuous improvement of engagement and MT initiatives
- Support broader COO Office business management initiatives that promote innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you bring communications and stakeholder management experience, strong multi-channel execution skills, talent programme exposure, and bilingual fluency.
- University degree in communication, marketing, journalism, business administration, or related field
- At least 5 years' experience in communications, marketing, or staff engagement (banking experience a plus)
- Proven ability to deliver impactful communication programmes, manage projects, and engage senior stakeholders
- Experience in talent programmes, staff development, and use of digital communication tools; strong written and spoken English and Chinese
- Creative, resilient, service-oriented professional with strong ownership, stakeholder management, and multitasking skills
