Our client is a well-established International Insurance and Investment Management Group. With increasing business activities and a solid growth plan in place for Asia, the group is now seeking a high-calibre Credit Analyst to join the Alternative Investments Management team, overseeing the credit assessment, risks, valuations and performance of the Private Market Investments. The position is open to be based in Hong Kong or Singapore, travelling is required.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Part of the Alternative Investments Management Team in Asia, establishing the approach and standards for evaluating and monitoring private market investment funds, covering asset classes such as private equity, private real estate / infrastructure and private credit.
  • Working closely with fund managers to gather and interpret investment information on an ongoing basis.
  • Produce concise, insight-driven reports covering performance across private market asset classes
  • Apply established valuation techniques to assess pricing of private credit investments and ensure consistency with clear documentation
  • Perform detailed credit analysis by reviewing financials, business fundamentals and external risk factors
  • Assign and document internal credit ratings using recognised or in-house frameworks to ensure a consistent risk assessment approach
  • Assess valuation approaches by applying practical experience and standard market methodologies
  • Review pricing assumptions to ensure they are reasonable, well-supported, and applied consistently
  • Document valuation conclusions clearly to ensure transparency and comparability over time
  • Run scenario analyses and stress tests to identify vulnerabilities and assess potential performance impact
  • Support the development of automated reporting solutions to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness across private market analysis

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified with 8 - 10+ years of relevant experience in Credit Analysis, Credit Rating, Credit Assessment and / or Credit Research
  • Current or prior experience gained from top Credit Rating Agencies is a MUST
  • Experience in Private Credit deals is a MUST
  • Qualifications in FRM, CFA and / or CPA would be beneficial but not required
  • Experience in compiling and analyzing investment management, performance and risk data
  • Understanding on credit ratings, limit frameworks and risk measures
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
  • Travelling is required for this role
