Where would you recommend to buy shoes for babies? Something that offers good support, but not too expensive (the ones i've seen so far cost >$300!). My baby's learning to walk. Thank you.

I think you'll find that most/all podiatrists will tell you to keep children out of shoes for as long as possible, to give the bones (26?) and muscles of the feet the chance to develop properly. Shoes serve only to protect the feet, from cuts and abrasions from walking/running on rough surfaces and to provide protection when walking on very hot or very cold sufaces.

Footstop in Coda plaza has a half px sale on - from $70 better selection than B2B and staff better at fitting babies feet.

The soft sole leather shoes are available from B2B for around $180 - I also brought some from Babrs r us for around $100. Its really important to get you're baby's feet measured for the first shoes so that the feet are allowed to grow properly, and sadly in HK the only places that do this correctly (i.e measuring the width) is the shop in Coda Plaza and B2B, but they are all around 3-400 dollars. The same shoes in the states, UK and oz are SO much cheaper, so if you know anyone coming over I suggest getting them measured here and getting someone to bring some for you from overseas

Hi, my 15 month old has only been walking a few weeks, I read that they should go a few weeks to strengthen the muscles etc before going into shoes. Any ideas on this? and when should I think of shoes for her. She won't be walking outside til she is steadier, and in shoes! Thanks.

I bought a pair of soft sole called Jack and Lilian for my 9 months old in Canada last month. The leather is really really soft and the design is cute. I just find out that they are now on sales in Hong Kong at the upcoming Children Assessory Exhibition in Wan Chan on Aug 5 to 6. It is at least 30% cheaper than ordering it online from Jack and Lilian website.

My son's got 2pairs of Jack and Lily shoes, the leather is really soft and the shoe sole is even wider than robeez. My son loves wearing it all around, so I highly recommend their shoes to other parents...
their website is www.jackandlily.com.hk
