Cheap air tickets to the Philippines

Does anyone know if any of these new cheap airlines offer tickets from HK to the Philippines. I need to get our domestic helper an air ticket and because she ended the contract on very bad terms, I'm loathe to get a costly ticket.

I've only heard of JetStar but they are flying from Singapore. What are the ones flying out of HK? Thanks.

I think Cebu Pacific have some very cheap tickets. I also recall seeing an email promotion for special domestic helper fares to Manila and Indonesia recently - you might also want to check with them

CX had 'domestic helper fares' - if you can't find it on their website, you could call and ask them. Other travel agents might know too.

Our helper gets her own tickets and they are always under 1000 HKD. Your helper might know where to go to get really cheap flights.

Yup, the domestic helper fare is the best bet. All she needs to do is show proof of her employment, or in her case, latest un-employment with you and she can get that fare at any travel agent.

If you really want to save, send her JetStarAsia from Hong Kong to Singapore, then from Singapore to Manila. This will mean she spends all day at airports, but I think it will be marginally cheaper than flying direct. Economy airlines do vary in price, so you'd probably have to be lucky on both flights, as they don't do transfers (you'd buy two separate tickets).

The cheapest RT I can find right now departing late-July is $1880 on Philippine Airlines. I've mentioned to our agent that it is for a domestic helper fare but this is all he could find.

I've heard that you can get from Macau to Manila for just over $400. Tiger Air I think.

The majority of the Filipina helpers I interviewed were not from Manila. Don't you have to buy a ticket to their final destination and not just Manila. If that is the case, you may be better off buying a ticket with Philippine Airlines.

Tiger Airways (one of the new cheap airlines from Singapore) does fly from Macau to Clark (north of Manila) and has some really cheap fares -- as low as $350 one way. www.tigerairways.com

[ Report Abuse ]I think 860hkd one way is as good as you will find. If your helper acted like a bitch then I would look for the worst airline to fly her on...

I am so disappointed '>' automatically assumed fault and placed the blame for the fallout on the helper. Isn't it at all possible there was a mutual fallout my friend? Employers are not saints either.
