Weather is very humid there, but the FOOD is Great!!! The multi culture there, makes that Lion City a truly wonderful and interesting place to visit.
People are easy to talk to as most of them are bi-lingual and some tri-lingual.

One thing I must add: Singapore has the best tasting water in Asia. We were there last summer and I noticed that the Hotel tap water ( you can drink off Singapore's tap water ) tasted much fresher and cleaner than the water in Hong Kong. And we use water filters at home! Come on Hong Kong ! If you can't fix the air quality, surely you can do something about the water!

original poster was new, likely just wanted to post something positive in these forums, and is probably a woman, so...she posted here in the Women's forum
second poster was being totally sarcastic, and i think has been banned (used to bait bobsal and others over in Speaker's Corner all the time)
well for what it's worth, i always enjoy myself in singapore - it may not have as much "flavor" as other asian cities, but it's orderly, clean and - i totally agree with purplelady - the food is terrific. one of the best things i ever did was ask a cab driver to drop me at his favorite hainanese chicken place...fantastic, i haven't had any as good since. (sorry i can't remember where it was!)
