LOSING HAIR!

Dear Caesar,

Had the same problem caused by stress and/or something lacking in the diet. Doctor advised me to take omega 3 in the form of Wild Salmon oil capsules. Very hard to do for a vegetarian but once I had been taking them for about a month, the hair became thicker and shinier and it stopped falling out. You could give it a go as they are good for your skin, too. They won't affect the baby or feeding if you stick to the recommended dosage.

a friend of mine here in manila takes those omega-3 fatty acid fish-oil capsules (probably exactly what susan is taking, above) - she has the thickest hair and lovely skin, so they seem to work.

could be simple stress too - when i was new on my present job i got the first bald patch of my life (fortunately quite small, and buried under other hair - my hairdresser spotted it). as soon as i settled into my job, the hair grew right back. i think one key is not to panic and stress out over it even more.

Water in North American is not any better, in fact it may be worse, with high mineral contents, which is what's striping away the natural oil in your sculp. I have been using a Toner and shampoo and it really works

go to ebay.com and see ITEM #9501870558 and item# 9500133653

Besides taking care of what you eat, please dtry not to use the over-the-counter hair care products (shampoo/conditioner/hair styling gel), most of them contain sulfate (used for garage wash)and strong chemical ingredients, can only make your hair loss condition getting worse.

Try some organic shampoo and conditioner they are good for your hair.

I had a severe hair-loss after giving birth to my daughter about 1 year ago. I began to use John Master Organic products about 4 months ago and they are really great. My hair looks beautiful now. I think you know this brand, it comes from the US like you. You can find here in HK in some specialized hair salon. I buy them from an online shop called www.edengreenhk.com, as a VIP member I can get them cheaper than in other shops.

Have you recently changed birth control pills or been in a hormone therapy? Sometimes, that may cause temporary hairloss and it will stop in time.

I experienced hair fall a few months back when I still lived in Manila. I shampooed 2x a day (to rid my head of sweat from going to the gym). My hairdresser advised me not to shampoo too frequently, to use a milder brand and to avoid too hot water in washing my hair. I don't know if it's the shampoo switch or something in my hormones or diet but my hair fall problem stopped after a few weeks.

I also take Centrum, 1200mgs Calcium and 1000mg Vit C. daily.

I've seen Nioxin in the hair salon in the Westwood shopping centre (the one under the Belchers apartments). It's the hair salon on the same floor as the Watsons/Mannings (can't remember which one it is), across from the Japanese sushi-belt restaurant. I'm positive they've got Nioxin stuff - I saw it yesterday.

My mom had a bald patch develop suddenly, end of last year. It was there for 3-4 months. I went back to see her last month and poof! it was totally gone. She said she was using a hair tonic called Imunal by Kadus. Her colleagues (who didnt know about the bald patch) asked her why is her hair becoming 'fuller'. Since then a few of them asked mom to get the tonic from the hair dressers.

Of course, vitamins and a change in your diet could help you restore your mane.

But you could also try a liquid formula called "TRICODERM". It is available in MANNINGS which costs around $500. You could also buy the shampoo.

My husband used TRICODERM and his hair started growing within 20 days.
