If you are not constrained by budget, Petrus at the Island Shangri La is very romantic, has excellent food and the view of the harbor is unsurpassed. But bring the Platinum Card!

assuming the weather is better than today !!!

Otherwise, Caprice (Four Seasons) has it is bit lower floor (but same need double platinium card !)

Petrus is anyway the best in both Service and food. Need to book in advance should you want a window table and the top of the top is to have the table between the main room and the private room. (Only 2 tables there so more romantic, you are dying !). Ask for Arnaud Mirey to make the arrangement. He can even create something special so your fiance will have a full surprise !

you could try Grissini at the G. Hyatt, Italian, superb cuisine, and service. As with all, book ahead for window tables. If on budget, and prefer casual, try the QuarterDeck, located fleet arcade, wan chai, food is good, not exceptional, good choices, seafood, pasta etc. Or Isola at IFC, again Italian.. same group as Va Bene, Gaia...great if you can be outside... good luck and enjoy

Petrus has a set menu at $ 650 $ 950 + sthg if you want to have wines including (by the glass).

Caprice has a great tasting menu at $ 1,050 (A taste of Caprice) ++ and a smaller one for $ 700 or so if I remember well.

You may as well call them so they can fax you the current menu (I always do that before hand as they now change them quite often and in case sthg you do not like ?). Petrus number is 2820-8590 (http://www.shangri-la.com/hongkong/island/restaurants/en/index.aspx?ID=1387)

and Caprice is 3196-8888 (few days at least for the booking)

See the menu and pictures online: http://www.fourseasons.com/hongkong/dining.html

Please note for all these types of restaurants, it is better to take the set menu as you can try various things and it might be cheaper than "a la carte" as you will always need 2 starters and main course.

If I was you, I would go to Petrus (quiter !and more romantic)
