The best plumber around is a KIWI guy called Paul Rameka, he will travel, he has his own van and gets anything done properly

why use an expat? all the local plumbers i used did excellent jobs and speak enough english to get by. shoot me an email if you need some recommendation.

we used an German expat 'engineer' from this website, who I won't name as this may be deleted, and got ripped off. Not only did the plumber/owner of the business, forget to turn up on the arranged day, he didn’t provide the materials or finish the task as per his quote. He overcharged us and when I called him (after he swfitly left our apartment once the shoddy job was done) he wrote back an offensive and resentful email about doing such a ‘little’ job and said to prepare another cheque if I wanted him to come back and fix the problem. In hindsight, I should not have continued dealing with this man after he failed to turn up on the Monday.
We have spent a further $500 to have the shower fixed and refitted by a local, professional tradesman who also felt we had been ripped off.
The original plumber did not respond to my last email nor do we wish to hear from him.

Touche re conversion to AUD - we don't mind paying for good work. Point being that the local tradies seem much more reliable and ours did a great job fixing the mess.

used Paul anyway ... and he did a great job! Cost to fix water filter system, drill holes and get parts $750
