Olivia {Lizzie} went missing on Bowen Rd Tuesday 28th March, around 8pm. She's a sweet, shy golden retriever cross with curly red furred ears. She's new to the area, having just been rescued. She's wearing a spotted collar, and has a white nose with black freckles. If you see her, or can think of a way to help us find her, please call Kris 91047839 or Rowe 65058549. She's much loved.

If you have a picture of her, try posting as many as you can around the area. Lamp posts etc, offering a reward for her safe return might help too. Contact the SPCA & AFCD. If she has a microchip then she will be taken to the AFCD and they "Should" inform you. If she doesn't have a chip, then a trip to SPCA and AFCD might be worthwhile too. I hope you get her back.

Hello Kristin,
I'm so sorry you lost your dog. I lost mine for a week in January and got some good ideas from this list to help find her.
I would definitely suggest printing up a picture of her and posting these with a sign saying you'll offer a reward for her return. Make sure you get this also translated into Chinese though because ultimately most people who might help you won't pay as much attentio to an English sign. The person who eventually alerted me to where my dog was hiding (she's also very timid) spoke only Chinese and was able to call me quickly on his mobile phone when he saw first her, then the sign. Another idea that worked for me was to take some of my dirty socks and t-shirts that smelled like me and to tie them around the area she went missing - my dog was found right by one of my socks and even though the sock is long-gone at this point, she still stops there every time we pass the area to check out the smell (I must have really smelly feet!). I also walked around a lot by the area she went missing and got to know the older Chinese 'morning walkers' and Filipina helpers who are in the area every day - they were invaluable in spreading the word to keep an eye out for my dog. I really think that it was a combination of these three things that helped me find Stanley. You should also contact the HK Dog Rescue people, they are very kind and would probably help you to keep an eye out for her if she turns up in the Gov't Kennels.
I'll keep my eye out for her in my dog walks, though I don't go around Bowen Road very often. All the best - I'm sure you'll find her, you just have to keep looking and be persistent!
