I am trying to organise what clothes I need to pack for our move to Hong Kong in April. Everything we have will be shipped and will take about 7 weeks to arrive - it could be longer before I see them if we do not find a place straight away..... What i was wondering is what is the weather expected to do in May and June...

will I need raincoats and lightweight sweaters or shorts and strappy things?? will I get too hot househunting in tracky bottoms and trainers ?? I know I can buy things there but as things stand we arrive Sunday evening and on the Monday morning the relocation agent is taking me house-hunting until we find something !!! advice ??

You wont need lightweight sweaters (unless you foresee yourself spending time in an office or movie theatre where the aircon is typically cranked real high)

You will just need lightweight casual clothes for May and June

Temp should be in the low 30s. In Hong Kong the temperature does not drop very much in the evening, as it does in the UK. Humidity in the 80% range. Rainfall is about 300mm a month.

You may find raincoats too warm. Umbrellas are a necessity as are comfortable waterproof shoes. Also carry a bottle of water to replace that lost through "glowing".
