I want my Ayi to get involved in cooking chinese for the family when required...what are some of the basic dishes most ayis would know (preferably only with chicken,noodles or vegetarian)...would appreciate if you could give me their chinese names too (with pronounciation). Thanks.

Ruth, I let my ayi cooked her own style of cooking for about 2 weeks. After observing her using too much oil and eggs and no MSG, I suggested to lessen these in her cooking. She was very hesitant, saying her way is the way chinese cooks. Nevertheless, she felt her cooking was restricted, she quit!!

also, what are the basic suaces I need to keep handy for her...soy sauce I know, what else? I'm not a big fan of fish sauce and oyster sauce though!
