I have some Aussie dollars which I don't want to convert because the A$ is quite low at the moment. Is there a way for non-residents to invest in Australian managed funds? Most of the fund providers I have talked to have set up their investment trusts only for Australian residents.

I think you would need to go through an off-shore fund that invests in Aus. I know there are some banks that offer AUD investments so maybe check with the major banks that have worldwide offices. I wouldn't know if they're competitive or not though, and there are probably other ways of accessing off-shore funds.
