Fortress or Broadway has the latest models and they won't ripe you off. Apply for Broadband via HK telecom and it should take around a day or two for connection.

!@#$%^&*() so you don't like systems that work seamlessly and are user friendly?? You prefer to crash all the time and have things hidden in really stupid places? You prefer to have to upgrade and patch all the time and continue to line Mr Gates pockets??

Tokyoguy you need to contact or visit websites to get prices..this is easy enough to do by searching google.

Its not necessarily down to brand, but what the specifications of the laptop are. Generally the brands such as Dell, HP/Compaq, Apple, Toshiba, Samsung etc will all work just as well as each other.

What you should be looking at is what are you using the laptop for? Internet and email only, playing games, travelling? What size memory do you need, how fast is the processor (how fast do you want the machine to work), how heavy is it, battery time, CD reader/writer, or DVD reader/writer, or both, the size of the screen, smart card enabled, wireless /and bluetooth?

There are many options, that only you can answer as only you know what you need.

I know this doesn't help you in choosing a brand, but it comes down to personal choice.

For +10% of the price Fortress also extend the warranty for 2 years. Highly recommended. Other companies probably offer similar terms.
