Stroller Clips

Has anybody used stroller clips to join two umbrella strollers together. Were they very successful? Can you buy them in HK? I think Bumps to Babes may have them, but only for Maclaren Strollers? Does anyone have any better ideas for travelling (through airports and around the cities) with 2 young children - 1 and 2 years old?

If you are travelling with another adult, I'd recommend bringing two separate strollers. The Sit N Stroll is excellent for travel as it is a carseat that converts to a stroller, but it's not possible for one person to control two of them for more than a short distance. They cannot be connected with stroller clips (I tried). When I travelled alone with my twins, I put one in a stroller and one in a baby carrier.

Another idea is to get a carry on with wheels that your older child can sit on. There is one that is designed for just that, but I think it's only available in the US market. I think I saw it on www.onestepahead.com. I use a Tutto carry on www.tutto.com and both my two year olds could sit on it, the one infront holding onto the handle, the one in back holding on to his brother's waist. Just some ideas.

Those look like some great websites, exeter. Do you know if the Tutto luggage is available in HK anywhere?

We bought a set of clips (three clips) a couple weeks ago at Bumps to Babes in Ap Lei Chau. They're generic and should fit most brands of strollers. I haven't used them as I've been away, and don't know if anyone else in the house has used them, but they seemed quite sturdy in the store.

With three kids under three, we've owned three different double strollers. Not fully happy with any of them, so thought we'd try the clips.

I wouldn't fly with very young kids without strollers, and wouldn't consider carrying the kids. With carry on bags and baby/diaper bags, you've got enough without trying to carry kids. Most airlines will let you check the strollers at the gate, and the strollers are delivered to the gate at the other end usually. Put the kids in the strollers, diaper/baby bags and carry on bags underneath or on the handle, and you still have a free hand for whatever else you may be lugging around the airport with you. Good luck.
