We will be moving over to HK from the UK in two weeks now and I have been looking through this site which has given some great advice. I was wondering if you guys meet up for drinks etc ?? is there an area on the site I have missed?

I am thinking about joining the AWA when we arrive as they look like a very social bunch. my husband and I are late 30's without children and he wil work and I will not.... how did everyone meet new people if they don't work ??

You are on the right track about joining an organisation to meet people. Join AWA and also go to the Australian group. The Americans have a coffee morning on Thursday and the Aussies on Friday. Both groups organise outings to explore Hong Kong. Do no thave the details with me but you can find out more on their respective web sites. Will get back to you with the web address if no one does beforehand. Good luck and enjoy HK it is a wonderful place.

would alos like to go to adult education classes during the day. Is the YWCA the best bet ??
