Where can I get the best discounts on mutual funds for say aninvestment of between HK$20k to HK$50k? For example HSBC offer 4% initial charge on Templeton, but Boom offer 2%. However, Boom don't offer Fidelity funds - which I am more interested in.

Hang Seng has a promotional offer its 2% for all mutual funds and 1% for their own index funds (for online purchases). Not sure about Fidelity though.

If you are American, you can open an account with http://www.vanguard.com their fees are very low. They have a way to use them if you are not American too, but I am not sure how that works... but the link is on their homepage.
I used to have money in Fidelity, I switched to Vanguard because their fees and expense ratio are much lower.
We also want to invest in HK based funds too, so am interested to see what replies you get - the fees here put us off!

The Hang Seng offer looks good. Any other banks doing similar? I saw DBS does 2.5% now. I am not american.
