Anyone now where I can get one second hand? What is the difference? I also heard that some of the bjorn originals have colour coded clips, is this new?

Check the trading post for second hand ones. The active offers good lower back support as it has a special support there, unlike the original which doesn't come with it. It's better than the original if you have a heavy baby!

if you're really petite in frame, I wouldn't recommend the active -the straps are much longer and it seems more suited to a bigger body. i'm 5'5" and it's okay for me, but my friend who is 5'1" found it way to overwhelming for her frame.

The color coded clips are on the newer models.
