Wing On dept store in Sheung Wan, in the white goods annexe on the ground floor. Also in Sincere dept store, which is almost next door. Both have the small chrome one and a larger white one (which is plasticky). No shop in HK sells the large chrome one, according to the HK distributor - you have to cart it here from Oz, US or UK. I bought one last week in Wing On... $398 from memory, for the small chrome one.
If you find anywhere that sells the special sponges to clean them, let me know - we're down to our last one!

Burgundy - You can use a wet/damp paper towel to clean it. In fact, our Foreman instructions instructed us to use the towel; did yours actually come with a sponge? Interested.

Rice T,
Thanks. The one we bought in Oz came with sponges. The one we bought here didn't.

the other advantage is that it cooks similar to a BBQ - the excess fat on sausages, chops, etc drips off the meat into the grooves of the hot plate.
Also makes great toasted sammies, and lebonese bread wraps popped there fora few minutes takes an OK sandwich into a fabulous one.
I have found the one I have - as much as I love to cook with it I find the cleaning a real pain - removable plates would surely make a big difference. There are other brands available that may be a bit cheaper- mine is a sunbea bought in Australia.
