My son is 7 months old and recently I've noticed that he excessively sweats even when it's not hot at all or is not doing any physical activity. He especially sweats during feedings. He litterally gets all drenched while taking his bottle which causes him to become very uncomfortable and interferes with his feedings. I've also noticed that he gets sleepy more often. Each time he wakes from a nap he will become sleepy again within about an hour, even if he have had 2 or more hours of sleep. However, he still has trouble sleeping, as he never sleeps through a night. Is this anything to be concerned about? We've been going to a pediatrician, but he dismisses the idea of anything wrong and refuses to check him. Though it may be nothing, just for my peace of mind, I would like to get him checked out and get a 2nd opinion. Are there any recommendations of good pediatricians in Hong Kong? Would much appreciate and advice and suggestions. Thank you in advance.

I am a HUGE fan of Dr Thondup. Many of my friend also see him and think he is great. Sure he is sometimes running late and some people have commented that they feel they are being rushed, but he will always make time to see you, plus if you need to talk in depth about something, he will never rush you. Try him. he is lovely.

We have mixed feelings about Dr. Thondup. He does have a great way of handling babies so they stay calm around him but we always feel rushed during our visits. A few times when we consulted him on specific issues he was somewhat dismissive. Maybe it's just the wrong chemistry with us.

Dr. Thondup that's all I can say. He is MR. Wonderful guy and very gentle with toddlers...
He saved a couple of case that my son has been mistreated by other doctors....
If you are in Disocvery Bay like me, I will go to Winnie Siu from Island health for general stuff. other then that, Dr. Thondup is the right man!!

Thondup has a Matilda practice? Not surprising since the midwives love him up there.
Besides feeling rushed during my visits (yes, we go to his Wanchai office), I just realized the other reason why I get frustrated with him. He is extremely reactive, and even then he gives me the impression that he doesn't like answering my questions. He does not proactively tell you/suggest anything. It's like pulling teeth. Frankly, I don't understand why he is so popular. Maybe he is really good with solving the tough problems (not my impression however).

Dr. Maurice Leung (Ping) is also a very well-known pediatrician too. I believe he is the EXPERT in ped. cardiology. His consulting fee is $800 basic, for cardiac problem I believe it could be $2,000 up.
