What are the best expat clubs in Shanghai with dining, fitness and other services? My family and I lived in Singapore and Tokyo, and belonged to the American Club in both locations, and would like to find a comparable club in Shanghai.
Suggestions?

There is only one and that is the American Club located on the 3rd Floor of the Shanghai Bund International Tower on Huangpu Road. Has a nice location overlooking the Bund.
I have been a member of the American Club in Tokyo as well. Both are very similar in size and facilities.
Another option might be one of the many Golf & Country Clubs in Shanghai.
We have also been a member of Tianma Golf & Country Club. Although it is about an hours drive from the city but if you like the outdoors and fresh air, as far as possible in China ,it might be an option. It has very good facilities and a mix of nationalities. Have a look at their website http://tianma.cc
