This is wierd....my dog is pooing white poo that is hard as rock...I have never seen this before! Have any of you seen this with your dog before?? Should I take her to the vet?? pl. advise

Sounds like constipation: the faeces are hard because things are taking longer to pass through the digestive system so more water is absorbed before the dry, hard poo emerges.
Try mixing the food with two teaspoons of olive (definitely olive) oil at each feeding for a few days. Don't do it for longer than a few days, though, as it reduces vitmain A absorption. Give plenty of water, too.
I am not a vet and would recommend you see one (taking a poo sample with you) if things aren't better very soon.

The same thing happened to my dog many years ago.
My dog's stool was dry, hard, chalk like and flaky.
I took my dog to the vet and she did an internal examination. She said that your dog is really constipated. Probably from a bone given to her.
Seconds after the internal examination and after the vet removed the blockage....much more stool came out. I couldn't believe how constipated she was.
There was no other symptoms besides the hard whitish stool that was like you said, hard as rock.
Take your dog to the vet ASAP. The blockage is really toxic.

Thanks for all the comments...yes she was given some left over roast pork bones from the local chinese BBQ joint a few days ago and was munching on it ever since. I took that away from her diet and her stool had returned to normal...but I was really freaking out!
