...total 45-60minutes to TST (walk + MTR/KCR).

I get seasick on board a ferry for more than 15minutes, so no ferries.

Any other locations here in HK aside from Tung Chung that we should check out?

Can someone tell me how best to get there? How long will the travel time to TST be during peak hours?

Sai Is from TST

MTR to Choi Hung take exit A1 for a mini bus or double decker to Sai Kung.

It takes my kids 45 minutes to get from School at Kowloon Tong to Sai Kung - includes a 7 minute walk from the MTR station to school. TST is about 10 minutes further along the train line. So within your limits.

Po Lam (tseung kwan o village) and Hang Hau (Hang Hau village) also have village houses (along the purple MTR line)that would allow dogs. when i was looking, places started from about 6500. travel time to tsim sha tsui is about 25 - 30 minutes by bus but can be shorter if there is no traffic.

Thanks for the leads. Will check them out on Sunday.

Have also heard of flats in Tiu Keng Leng (green line). Any ideas about this place?

Chili, don't know if you are pertaining to Coastal Skyline in Tung Chung...

Saw some units at Seaview Crescent and Coastal Skyline today, and found that the lay-out of Seaview Crescent is better in terms of maximizing space. Flat fixtures and finishing are almost similar in quality. Value for money, hmmm, I would say their price range is in the same plane..

Hi Annebin

THanks. That's what I mean coastal skyline. as I'm currently living at seaview crescent. I have only just moved in 2 weeks. I only view 2 apartments at seaview crescent. I never viewed other complex. I am really happy with everything of seaview crescent. The building quality and the management is excellent.

It's only a bit farther down to the MTR station compared to Seaview, but from the units we saw, we are leaning towards Seaview..Will come back tomorrow to view flats in our shortlist, and hopefully decide soon..

i highly doubt that ocean shores in tiu king ling allows dogs. however ocean shores is really nice. amazing facilities. are your dogs big or small. everyone in my building that has small dogs just puts them in a bag to go in the lift. it is really obvious whats in the bag but security doesn't do anything.

we have 2 labs back home, but if it's not feasible to bring them over, we will adopt one from SPCA.

Saw some units in Caribbean Coast, and will consider also.

Sounds lovely..which exact station is it? I can't find it in the MTR/KCR map. Is it on the pink line?

HI Annebin

Just wonder how much you're paying for the rent at Seaview Crescent. I just rented an apartment at seaview for HK6.8K 50/F, seaview, 2 bedrooms..700sq

I viewed another one at seaview for HK6.5K but it is only on the 6/F same size 700sq. if you're interested, please let me know.

Chili,

The flats we're looking at in Seaview Crescent are both 3-bedroom units, 1124 sqft. furnished (almost fully) offered at 9500. One has been barely lived in, looks brand new.

Coastal Skyline is a tad smaller (smaller rooms) and valued at 10k.

we're still looking around cos we want to share our flat with dogs, well at least one..

Fenman,

Will take a look tomorrow out of curiosity... There are no buses from the MTR station? Cab costs are kinda prohibitive if we'll commute everyday..

Fenman,

Went as far as Kam Sheung road, exlored around the nearby residential area (village houses they looked like). I asked for directions and was told to take the green number 78 bus, but it took ages so I took another bus up Castle Peak road, got lost and ended up I don't know where. Got off somewhere in Tai Po, looked around, had coffee and hopped on a bus back to Central.

From the route taken by the bus, it was a beautiful side of HK.. but living there is unfortunately not for us. Too quiet, and too far away from city conveniences. Sadly, I didn't get to see where Palm Springs and Fairview Park are, except from the map..
