i eat 1 egg a day for my breakfast, but i read the other day the they are high in fat , i want to lose a few kilos am i doing the wrong thing eating eggs?should i only be eating the egg whites?thanks

Egg yolks have lots of good vitamins and minerals in them, so don't cut them out altogether. But the yolks are very high in cholesterol (bad for your heart/arteries). Eggs are also "binding" (may cause constipation). Try to eat only two or three egg yolks per week (in addition to the ones you're already getting in prepared food, such as cake and pasta). The whites are fine. For something different, you can whisk egg whites as you would for a meringue and then put them under a preheated grill in a nonstick frying pan (so you only need to smear it with fat) to make a "fluffy" omelette.

Just because you are not fat does not mean your cholesterol levels are not high. Have you ever been for a full check up to have this tested?

if you combine your egg eating with omega 3 (either through omega-3 enhanced free range eggs or supplements) then you will be able to enjoy eggs with the omega 3 combating cholesterol.
My mum in law increased her omega- 3 through diet over a 3 month period and her cholesterol declined dramatically from what was deemed dangerous levels to the lower range of normal. it seems to work.
