I'm a single woman in my early 30s considering moving to HK. It it an easy or hard city in which to meet people when you are new in town?

It'll depend on your personality and what you want to put into it. There are groups and association you can join to help you get acclamated. Most expats here are fantastic. They are on the same boat as you so they are fairly friendly and helpful. It also depends on what type of people you want to meet. If you are looking to meet others in your age group to have a drink with and go out, chances are great. However if you want to meet "Mr. Right" that may be a different ball game but possible.
Hey Hong Kong is a great place for expats...If you keep an open mind to the experience then it'll be a piece of cake.

Hi, check out the Asia Expat website, under personals: just friends. I have been really lucky and met some very nice people, from all over the world, great to hike with, have a dinner/drink etc. be honest and open, see what happens. Good luck with the relocation.

The 'just friends' are generally working women, and who just want to meet people who are not in the same business, singles who would like to get together with others for activities. Not all looking for men !
