Have friends (couple with a 10-yr. old) spending one whole day in Shenzhen..Is it worth going to Windows of the World and that other China theme park?

Shopping is in their agenda from 10-3pm, then catching the KCR back to HK around 7 or 8.

I haven't been to windows of the world but i have been to the Greater China (or something) theme park and I would say that is worth the trip, however, it will take more than a few hours after a shopping trip. It takes about an hour to get up there (on the outside depending on traffic), and we spent a whole day in the china park. If they have the time - I would suggest they stay in the schenzhen bay hotel for the night after their trip and then have as much time the next day in both parks as they want and return HK later in the evening the next day...or do it the other way round - Theme parks day one, return to shenzhen for shopping day 2. There is a go gart track in shenzhen not far from the shopping mall (opposite the century hotel in a multistory car park) which is also a fun interlude to shopping.

There is a shenzhen bay hotel bus from the Lo Wu shopping centre car park (can't remember the level) which will take them directly to the hotel for a reasonable price. The theme parks do not take any credit cards.

Thanks Dimac4.

Would you know which bus to take to the theme park from LoWu? Is it safe to take a cab to get there?
