Where are you? In Queens Road West between Wilmer Street and Centre St, dozens of places charge $60 or so - prices marked in the windows. Few of them speak English, but just get a friend to write "please tidy it up" in Chinese.

Excellent hairdresser in Central - speaks great english reasonable charges. Raymond-Man of Mei Salon. Closed on Wednesdays. 2524 5966. 9:30 - 7:30 pm 11A Chancery Lane, G/F Old Bailey Street, Central HK. From Arbuthnot Road (back of Centrium Building) cross and walk up the stairs that border the prison and you will see the barbers pole outside the shop on the left. We have been everywhere from Mandarin Oriental to the guys that cut hair on the street and he does a great job on kids and husbands hair... and he always has loads of local ladies getting regular hair cuts and blow dries when I have been in there.
