Hi,
I would like to hear ( either good or bad reviews)from anyone who has been to the new Lotus restaurant. Specifically what is the ambience like and is the food good?

Wendy, went there on Monday night with a group of friends for drinks and dinner. If you know of a restaurant called Longrain in Sydney (now Melb too), then you'll be excited to hear that Lotus chef is ex Longrain and the menu is nearly identical. The food was excellent..!
The interior has been changed also - bar previously went the length of the premises and always felt like it was empty (even with a reasonable crowd)! Its been split into two now - the front part being the main bar, and the back part the restaurant with a bar at the end. This back section can be closed off later in the night when the kitchen is closed, to keep a intimate feel to the bar. THere's also a private dining room hidden away at the very back near the kitchen.
Well worth a visit!!

It is RIGHT next to LINQ, they don;t have a sign up just yet.
Heard the food is good, and the c*cktails are really good.

Hi, we went last night. Took a while to find as no sign but worth the trek. Food was fantastic, very well balanced menu almost identical to Longgrain. Came in at $550 per person (with wine, no c*cktails)

Went there yesterday and food was superb. The c*cktails are to die for, prob the best in town.
They apparently also have a great lunch menu also. Definately going to go back again and again and again........ got their card Tel 25436290.
Great crowd for drinks too.
