I have overseas visitors and we want to go to a bar early this evening with good views of the city/harbour and reasonable prices, in the Central/Wan Chai area. Any suggestions?

i would take them to anywhere in TST, better views looking over to the island... i mean if you're in central, you'll only be looking at kowloon... thats not much of a view.
go to 1 Peking Road, top floor, has a japanese/italian restaurant and a bar above it...sorry can't remember the name, go for sunset... opposite the langham hotel.

The older Mandarin Oriental, currently closed for renovation for a few months, has spectacular views on the island.
Once it's opened it's another great option.

There's:
1. Sky Lounge at Sheraton, TST
2. Aqua, TST (min charge HK$130 pp)
3. Felix, TST (bit pretentious)
4. The Quarterdeck, Ocean Terminal (just opened and very reasonable)
