In the event of a large storm, what is the best type of tape to use on the windows? Is there a kind that is easy to remove?

Hong Kong is pretty much typhoon-proof. You really only need the tape if you live in an older building with dodgy windows and on a very low level - as these ones are more likely to be hit by flying debris.

FYI, the brown tape is very hard to remove.

BTW, I have lived here for more than twenty years, never used tape and never had a window break during a typhoon - and I lived from the 4th (old Chinese walk-up) to the 47th floor.
