Hi,
I have to transfer money to the UK every month. I use HSBC Internet banking which you can do it all online. It usually only takes 2 days to transfer.
HSBC charges HK$130 to transfer if I remember correctly or HK$180 not sure. Very easy to do. You need sort code, account name, account address ( would be prefer for faster trascation), account no and also your address.

Alternatively which may be faster to in the short term is to go to your bank and ask for a telegraphic transfer form - fill out and hand it back to them - they have cut off times when it will be done by - cost is between $100 - $200 HKD on this end and then will cost money to receive it into your account in the UK.

i usually get a bank draft/cheque ($60 charge) and send it by registered mail to friends/relatives back home and get them to pay the money into the appropriate bank account.
