Or almost any Indonesian grocer ...lots in the side streets of Causeway Bay. Indonesia is a big producer of vanilla. In case you need it, the Indonesian word for vanilla is Paneli.
If you end up paying top prices, you should get top pods: with these, you can see tiny white needles of vanillin that has crystallised on the pod. They make the pod look frosted.
