please get it checked out. In the meantime keep the area clean and airy (not damp). A 2 inch gash is indeed enormous-almost like an episiotomy. If it's infected you might need some dressing and antobiotics

Hey, this is not funny, is rather serious. You might get an infections and it might be leading to something even worst you can imagine!

A doctor is a doctor, sound silly if you do not want to see the doctor cos he is a man. Geez, this is your health and it's down there!! I also prefer man doctor cos they will be more gentle to a woman!

And, tell your partner about it and tell him not to treat you that rough!! It is no fun at all.

Did you guys talk?

For heaven's sake, there are excellent, compassionate, caring and non-judgemental female doctors in Hong kong! Try Dr. Lauren Bramley (she has her own practice in Pacific House, Central) or Dr. Helen Duckworth-Smith (at Lucy Lord's practice). They are both wonderful people and excellent doctors, and incidentally, women. Best wishes!

Stop giving the poor girl a hard time (no pun intended). She's only asked for advice and feels embarassed about a situation thats already happened, haven't we all been there at some point in our lives (not necessarily like this).

AXB - I know exactly how you feel.. becoz my partner is also kinda rough to me and i feel a bit sore down there sometimes and it usually last for 2 days. But recently.. my pain was last for a week and I actually didnt take much notice of it as I think it just a "normal" way of feeling and its didnt really annoy me that much as its just irritating and a bit pain when peeing. But then I still went to see the female specialist and she told me I have some kind of bacterial infection down there. She "extracted" my discharge and apparently was "abnormal". I didnt even know becoz "thing" was yet to be discharge as she told me. I took 7-day pill and its now gone!~.. So, please take good care of yourself and consult the female expert..

One thing to consider is that the wound may have worsened due to an STD. You really need to get tihs checked out ASAP. Have you spoken to your partner about your situation? Has he been feeling any discomfort at all?

I know it is embarssing to discuss your nether regions with a stranger but you must overcome this and see a gynaecologist immediately rather than a GP.
